Writing a Research Statement Workshop on March 1

Professor DudeCredit: openclipart.comThe Graduate Student Resource Center will be hosting a workshop on writing a research statement for an academic position. This workshop is open to all UCSB graduate students and postdocs, but enrollment is limited to 15 per workshop, so please RSVP.

This workshop is for both STEM and SHEF (Social Science, Humanities, Education, Fine Arts) students and will cover methods of organizing experience, types of content to include, and the tone you should set in your statement. 

If you wish to have feedback on your research statement, please bring either your computer with a digital copy or at least two print copies for individual and peer feedback.

Writing a Research Statement

Time: Tuesday, March 1, noon - 1 p.m.

Place: Student Resource Building, Room 2154

Food: Snacks for all.
